I am Frances Gallagher, an Irish writer based in County Westmeath. My fiction explores memory, family dynamics, and the long effects of silence across generations.
My work focuses on family relationships, emotional inheritance, and the quiet consequences of unspoken trauma.
Echoes of Tomorrow is my debut novel.

Echoes of Tomorrow is a dual-timeline literary novel set between 1960s England and rural Ireland. It follows a woman returning home after her mother’s death and gradually confronting the silences, misremembered truths, and buried grief that shaped her childhood. Told through memory rather than investigation, the novel explores how children internalise blame, how families survive through silence, and what it means to revisit the past when certainty is no longer possible.

Alongside my writing, I'm the Director of Training at Lir Business Services & Training Centre with over three decades of experience in education, leadership and organisational development. As a Private Training Provider/Business, we focus on education and learnership development in the Further Education and Training sector.
Alongside my fiction, I occasionally facilitate small writing spaces in a Writing Community (secondary) focused on reflective practice and creative attention. This work runs separately from my novels and is not a primary focus of my author site while I am seeking representation.
